💼 About the Role – Content Specialist, YouTube Trust & Safety

As a Content Specialist in YouTube’s Trust & Safety team, you will play an important role in enforcing YouTube’s community guidelines, reviewing content, managing escalations, using data to identify trends, and contributing to policy and operational improvements. 🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Review video content that may be graphic, sensitive, or controversial in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.

  • Enforce YouTube content policy and ensure quality policy enforcement.

  • Manage escalations in the content policy space and ensure accurate, compliant actions.

  • Provide insights from content review data to drive operations and policy improvements.

  • Use spreadsheet or analytical tools to extract patterns and trends and influence decisions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve content safety mechanisms.

  • Help test new tools, systems, and workflows to streamline escalation handling.

🎯 Eligibility / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience with data analysis and spreadsheet software to interpret trends and support decisions.

  • Experience in problem-solving, review or assessment of digital content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field.

  • Experience working in anti-abuse operations, content policy enforcement, or online safety at scale.

  • Ability to work with stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate improvements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong investigative ability with problem-solving instincts.
