💼 About the Role – AWS Cloud / DevOps Engineer

As an AWS Cloud / DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to design, build, automate, and maintain PlanetSpark’s AWS infrastructure.

This role focuses heavily on Infrastructure as Code, cloud security, automation, and performance optimization. You will play a key role in ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient.

🛠️ Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure

  • Work closely with software engineering teams to define deployment and infrastructure requirements

  • Provision, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code

  • Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform

  • Manage configuration and compliance using Chef

  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems

  • Build and maintain operational tools for:

    • Deployment

    • Monitoring

    • Logging

    • Performance analysis

  • Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, applications, and services

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines

  • Monitor infrastructure usage and perform cost analysis and optimization

  • Ensure AWS environments follow security and compliance best practices

🎯 Eligibility & Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • 1–5 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure

  • Strong experience with AWS services such as:

    • VPC

    • EC2

    • IAM

    • Security Groups

    • ECS

    • CodeDeploy

    • CloudFront

    • S3

  • Strong understanding of AWS security and compliance

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

    • Chef (Configuration Management)

  • Solid knowledge of Linux administration

  • Experience with:

    • CI/CD pipelines

    • Docker

    • GitLab

    • Jenkins

    • ELK Stack

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts

  • Ability to work independently with ownership and accountability

  • Willingness to learn and use new open-source tools and technologies
