{WFH} Supply Chain/Transport Management Role at Amazon

Hi friends, I’m back with another fantastic opportunity to work with Amazon! If you’ve been dreaming of working with a global leader in e-commerce and supply chain management, this role might be perfect for you. Amazon is hiring for the Transportation Representative (TOC) position, which is a virtual role based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a dynamic environment, and has a passion for ensuring smooth operations. Let’s dive into the details!

About the Role

The Transportation Operation Center (TOC) serves as Amazon’s central command and control hub for transportation execution. TOC plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods from vendors to fulfillment centers and from fulfillment centers to customers. This includes managing the entire transportation lifecycle, resolving exceptions, and maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders.

The role of a Transportation Representative (Trans Ops Specialist) is essential to achieving these goals. You’ll work across Inbound Operations (managing vendor-to-FC deliveries) and Outbound Operations (managing FC-to-customer deliveries), ensuring Amazon’s promise of timely and efficient service is upheld.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll handle a variety of tasks to ensure smooth transportation operations, including:

Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for external partners (carriers, vendors, suppliers) and internal teams (Retail, Finance, Fulfillment Centers, and more).

Data Analysis and Reporting: Use tools like Excel, Access, and SQL to pull and analyze data. You’ll create reports to identify trends, address exceptions, and drive business results.

Performance Metrics: Understand and utilize performance metrics to make informed decisions that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Problem-Solving: Quickly assess and resolve transportation-related issues to minimize disruptions and maintain customer trust.

Escalation Management: Identify variances or problems, escalate them to the appropriate teams, and follow through to ensure resolution.

Process Improvements: Ideate and implement changes to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve the overall transportation network.

Real-Time Operations: Work in a 24/7 environment, ensuring uninterrupted customer service and on-time delivery.

Communication Excellence: Draft narratives and presentations outlining weekly findings, variances, and action plans to share with stakeholders.

A Day in the Life

Imagine starting your day by reviewing inbound and outbound operations data to spot potential issues. You’ll interact with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to troubleshoot delays, analyze network trends, and ensure timely deliveries. Every decision you make directly impacts Amazon’s ability to meet its customers’ expectations.
