About the Role
Revolut’s Legal team is a vital part of our business, guiding our journey through fast-paced challenges and opportunities. As the Head of Legal (Revolut India), you’ll tackle complex legal issues, lead strategic initiatives, and shape our future in fintech. This role demands exceptional leadership, expertise in financial regulations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-evolving environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and advise on legal matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and strategic deals.
Negotiate a variety of agreements, including third-party, operations, services, and marketing contracts.
Identify and address legal risks for new product development and market expansions.
Monitor regulatory developments and guide internal stakeholders on compliance strategies.
Collaborate with external counsel on compliance, privacy, and security matters.
Develop streamlined processes for contract negotiation and management.
Maintain compliance with local regulations, including necessary filings, policies, and procedures.
Handle complex transactions, pre-litigation legal disputes, and inquiries efficiently.
Provide strategic legal guidance across all aspects of Revolut’s Indian operations.
Qualifications
12+ years of PQE with a master’s degree in law.
Exceptional academic and law firm credentials.
Expertise in Indian financial regulations, compliance, and corporate governance.
Proven experience in complex transaction management and stakeholder collaboration.
Strong decision-making skills in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
Fluency in English with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on legal work.
Nice to Have
In-depth knowledge of regulations for electronic money institutions and banking services.
Prior experience in-house at a financial or fintech organization.
