Amazon is hiring a Transportation Representative (AV) to join the Transportation Operations Center (TOC) team in Hyderabad. TOC is the central command center for Amazon's transportation execution, supporting multiple geographies like North America, India, and Europe. This role is critical to ensure smooth transportation, timely pick-up, and hassle-free deliveries within Amazon's extensive supply chain network.
About the Role
As a Trans Ops Specialist, you will work across Inbound and Outbound Operations. The role involves facilitating communication between stakeholders, resolving transportation issues, analyzing network trends, and ensuring customer promises are met efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to identify process improvements and drive operational excellence.
Inbound Operations focus on vendor, carrier, and fulfillment center (FC) relationships, ensuring on-time pick-ups and deliveries.
Outbound Operations focus on ensuring freight leaves the FCs on time and reaches customers as promised.
Responsibilities
Facilitate communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal teams (Retail, Finance, Fulfillment Centers, etc.).
Analyze data using tools like Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Access, or SQL, and perform ad hoc reporting.
Develop and understand performance metrics to drive business results.
Escalate problems or variances to relevant teams and ensure timely resolution.
Work within critical time constraints to meet business needs and improve customer experience.
Identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and propose process improvements.
Create narratives outlining weekly findings, present data variances, and findings in review forums.
Provide real-time issue resolution in a 24/7 operating environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
10-24 months of relevant work experience.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Ability to work in a team and manage tasks in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Logistics background or lean/Six Sigma training.
Proficiency in SQL for advanced data management and analysis.
