About the Role
As a FinOps Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in the Accounts Payable domain by owning key reporting activities and managing relationships with various stakeholders. You’ll analyze metrics, resolve variances, and drive process improvements while ensuring timely payments to vendors. Key Responsibilities
Process Ownership: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the assigned process—Accounts Payable or Finance Operations.
Data Analysis: Analyze operational performance metrics and present actionable insights to vendors and internal teams.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve variances, failures, and discrepancies proactively.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Interact with Operations, Business Partnering, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and drive root cause analysis.
Continuous Improvement: Drive quality initiatives like Lean and Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiency.
Communication: Handle meetings, update SOPs, and ensure timely completion of agreed action items.
About You
The ideal candidate should have:
A strong background in finance operations with experience in Accounts Payable or Receivable.
Exceptional problem-solving and process improvement skills.
The ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
A proactive, action-driven personality with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
2+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
Proficiency in software such as Excel, Oracle, Access, SQL, and VBA.
Proven experience in corporate finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
Familiarity with TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL.
