Role Overview
As a Software Engineer in the Engineering Productivity team, you will work on technologies that power Google Ads, driving efficiency, accessibility, and innovation. Your role will involve designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance developer velocity and code quality. You’ll be instrumental in enabling effective advertiser tools for businesses, publishers, and creators worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product or system development code to enhance advertising technologies.
- Lead or participate in design reviews to choose the best technologies and solutions.
- Review and provide feedback on code developed by peers, ensuring it meets best practices for accuracy, efficiency, and testability.
- Contribute to educational content, updating it based on user feedback and product updates.
- Analyze and debug system or product issues, ensuring optimal hardware, network, or service quality.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 1 year of experience in software development using programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field.
1 year of experience building developer tools to improve code quality and efficiency, such as automated release tools and test automation frameworks.
Experience with accessible technologies and promoting inclusion.
