Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve automation tools and testing strategies for software components.
- Collaborate with product owners to generate and manage test data.
- Ensure timely execution of test scenarios and communicate potential delays or blockers.
- Identify process gaps and propose improvements.
- Conduct thorough testing from a customer’s perspective to enhance the product experience.
- Work closely with development teams to design and deliver core product features.
- Take full ownership of testing assigned features end-to-end.
- Identify both functional and non-functional test scenarios.
- Triage defects and create consolidated defect reports.
- Maintain test documentation, including acceptance test cases and regression test suites.
- Provide technical expertise to projects and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to team growth by sharing technical knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- 2-4 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
- Proficiency in automation frameworks (JUnit, NUnit, Selenium, etc.).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).
- Knowledge of REST-based web services.
- Understanding of programming languages like C/C++/Java is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.
- Experience in agile methodologies and desktop/web application testing.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to product-based testing.
- Understanding Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience with exploratory testing and identifying complex software defects.
