DataForce by TransPerfect is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for native Marathi, Telugu, and Bengali speakers to join their project, Olivenite, as Freelance Transcribers.
This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in India. As a freelancer or independent contractor, candidates can start immediately, with the project expected to continue until the beginning of December 2024. Preferred availability is 10 hours per week or more, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking flexible, part-time work.

Task Description:
As a Transcriber, your task will be to listen to audio files and edit pre-transcribed texts following provided guidelines, segment the speech to identify different speaker turns, and annotate non-speech events such as background music.
Requirements:
To be considered for the role you should meet the following qualifying criteria:
- Be over 18 years old.
- Reside in India.
- Be a native Marathi, Telugu, or Bengali speaker.
- Have an advanced level of English.
- Have availability to work 10 hours per week or more.
- Have access to reliable and steady internet connection and a computer.
- Have excellent spelling and grammar knowledge, typing speed, and accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to understand and implement feedback.
- Previous transcription and/or annotation experience is a plus.
As part of the selection process, you will be asked to take a qualification test. The test duration is approximately 30 minutes. Prior to starting work on the project, you will also be asked to complete online training. The training duration is 60 minutes and is not compensated.
